Overview of our tours . . .
Our trips are fun, and educational, with a conscious regard for safety and a respect for man's environmental impact on the land and the water, learn about ecotourism while enjoying the beauty of the area.
A level of fitness is required to allow novice and expert paddlers 4 - 6 hours of paddling per day with rest stops. Some hiking will be included when we explore the Islands.
Day one on most of our trips begins at the kayak center, from here we travel to our launch point where we will review the equipment that is coming on the trip and begin to pack our kayaks (we offer packing tips to those who require them). After an equipment orientation, lessons, and a review of safety procedures, we will begin paddling. Our actual route plan will be determined by the ability of the group and the weather. Upon arrival we will set up camp. Sometimes we will keep our camp in one location for the duration of the trip and do day-trips from the site. Other times we may choose to move the camp during the trip.
We supply all top quality perfectly maintained equipment, including...single and double kayaks, paddle jackets, P.F.D.'s, wet suits, 2 person tents, dry bags, camp cooking equipment and utensils. All you bring is your sleeping bag and personals as suggested in our What To Bring lists.
