Explore the intricate waterways by a sea kayak, weaving your way through the 100 islands and tiny islets of the park. Quiet coves, white sandy beaches or open ocean swells, we guide the tour to suit the ability of the group. Beach-combing, hiking, tide pool exploring, all add to the fun and adventure of your trip. Sea caves, ancient aboriginal fish traps, sea sculpted rock formations, all await your discovery.

2. Deer Group Islands (Four Day Sea Kayak Tour)

8:30 am departure with our guides via cruiser ocean going boat to our camp in the Deer Group Islands. Our staff will have already set up our camp and the sea kayaks will be waiting there for you. After acquainting ourselves with our beach front home we'll prepare for a day of kayaking and exploring. We begin with paddling lessons and a review of safety procedures. On the water we travel as a group, staying close together for four to six hours of paddling each day (dependent on abilities of the group members and weather conditions). Since we're here to view nature and enjoy the scenery, we'll travel at a moderate pace, resting when necessary at some of the many beautiful islands and beaches close at hand. We may choose to keep our camp at one location or to move it to another island to allow for more exploring.

Beautiful shell beach landings await us on many of the islands in the Deer Group. We will visit the island archipelago referred to as the Chain Group, search out impressive sea caves and wander through towering forests of cedar and hemlock.

3. Clayoquot Sound (Six Day Sea Kayaking Tour)

Paddle through wild and wide open Clayoquot Sound, one of BC's Provincial Parks. Explore the clean, clear waters and camp on expansive white sand beaches. Whales, porpoises, deer, eagles, and many interesting seashore birds thrive here. The intertidal areas are teaming with multi-colored sea life. An unforgettable experience awaits you in this area rich with history and full of life.
